There are several methods for disinfecting cutting boards:
Sunlight disinfection method: Place the cutting board in the sun for at least 30 minutes to use the sterilization effect of ultraviolet rays, while keeping the cutting board dry to prevent mold.
Hot water scalding method: First clean the surface and gaps of the cutting board with a hard brush and clean water, then rinse with 100°C boiling water. High temperature can effectively kill bacteria.
Salt antibacterial method: Scrape off the residue after each use, and sprinkle a layer of salt on the cutting board every few days, which can both sterilize and prevent the cutting board from cracking.
Onion and ginger disinfection method: Rub the cutting board with raw onions or ginger, then wash it with hot water and a brush to remove odor and sterilize.
Vinegar cleaning method: For cutting boards with fishy smell, sprinkle a few drops of vinegar, dry them in the sun, and then rinse them. This can both remove the fishy smell and sterilize.
Baking soda and white vinegar cleaning method: Pour hot water on the cutting board to soften the mold, sprinkle baking soda and white vinegar on it, let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub it with a sponge, finally rinse it with clean water and let it dry.
